Burke Creek Bridge
On Sunday, December 2nd, the club moved the 45' steel bridge over Burke Creek on Trail C4H. This was the first chance to complete this project as the adjacent corn field was not cut until last week. It was only 14 degrees with blowing snow when Club President Mark Destito, with his two employeees and three pieces of heavy equipment, along with club members David Piersall, Larry Casalenuovo and Bill Joyce, Jr., brought the bridge from the VonMatt farm to the site. Later in the afternoon, the work crew was joined by John Beggs and Darwin Piersall. A big thanks to Millie Piersall for the pics!
Lance Blood, Darwin Piersall, John Beggs and Ev Aldridge labored all day Monday, December 4th and Tuesday, September 5th decking the steel bridge that was hauled on site Sunday. Thank God for senior citizens! The club owes these gentlemen a big round of applause!
Names of workers are L to R in above photo: Lance Blood, Darwin Piersall, John Beggs and Ev Aldridge.
