Proudly maintaining snowmobile trails in
northern Oneida County, New York,
including north Rome, Western,
Hawkins Corners, Lee Center, Stokes Corners, West Branch, Point Rock, Ava and into West
Leyden.
The "new to us" groomer arrived Wednesday
morning, March 4th at Pat's For Tires. The groomer was transferred to a
flatbed and delivered to the groomer barn. The groomer is a 1995 Piston
Bully model PB 260 DW. According to John Beggs, the groomer is in great
shape, better than the same model we looked at south of Syracuse, yet was
purchased for $20,000 less. The groomer has a 2001 motor in it, has recently
replaced track belts and about half the hours of the unit we are replacing.
We have decided to narrow the tracks, rather than widen our garage doors and
trails as was originally discussed at our meeting, thus saving the club an
added expense. A big THANK YOU is extended to everyone who donated to our
groomer replacement fund and to Larry Casalenuovo for donating his time and
all trip expenses to go to Colorado and inspect the groomer. Thanks to
Millie for sharing her photos shown below. The winch seen on the back
of the groomer and a tiller that came with the machine will be sold.
