Trailhead Parking

Excellent free parking arrangements can be found at the Lake Delta State Park, located north of the City of Rome on Route 46N. The club has a trail that starts right in the park, providing great access to our trail system. After entering the park, drive straight ahead to the large parking lot at the beachfront. The trail is located on the left (south) side of the lot. The state also has a warming room on the beach opened specifically for the use of snowmobilers and other outdoor enthusiasts.

2007-08 Trail Changes

We have a very slight change on trail C7D, between Williams Road and Elmer Hill Road, due to M&M Collision relocating onto our trail along State Route 26N.  Our trail will now be relocated behind the business.

There will be a trail relocation on trail C7D, from the bridge at the State Fish Hatchery to Pennystreet Road, as a property owner is no longer allowing access across their land. The trail has now been relocated in the fields and woods that run along State Route 46 and will cross at the Pennystreet Road intersection. From there, the trail will go up the hill and along the ravine where it will connect with the original trail before Gulf Road.

A trail relocation has been completed on the Lee Center trail (C4H) between Hawkins Corners Road and Thomas Street. The trail used to run along Marsh Road for a stretch, and now will enter the woods and cross the old "Maitland" Bridge.

Other trail modifications include a very small change at the Vary Road intersection (C4A), and we may have an additional  trail change along Beartown Road (C7), pending property owner approval. Detailed information will be provided when/if relocation is finalized.
