Trailhead Parking

Excellent free parking arrangements can be found at the Lake Delta State Park, located north of the City of Rome on Route 46N. The club has a trail that starts right in the park, providing great access to our trail system. After entering the park, drive straight ahead to the large parking lot at the beachfront. The trail is located on the left (south) side of the lot. The state also has a warming room on the beach opened specifically for the use of snowmobilers and other outdoor enthusiasts.

2013-14 Trail Changes

Last year we had  a couple of minor trail changes that you might not be aware of. One is on C7 at Cemetery Road behind the housing development. The trail has been routed away from the homes for a distance before proceeding through the page fence opening. Please drive slowly through here and be as quiet as you can be as we have had complaints from homeowners here of speed and loud pipes, especially late at night. Up in West Branch on C4, after crossing the bridge and turning right heading north, the landowner had us move the trail to the right before you cross the River Road. This area has been fenced so we hope all show respect to the landowner here as well as on the entire trail system.

Please stay on the trail in the field where it crosses over to the east side of Elmer Hill Road (C7D). Crops have been planted and we are allowed to follow the outside of the field. It is well marked.

Be aware: On Trail C7D (near State Route 46) past the Fish Hatchery, our trail follows the shoulder of Pennystreet Road for a short distance. This trail is in full compliance of all laws, but we should be very careful to not stray off the trail here to avoid unnecessary complaints. The trail runs along the property of a landowner who does not appreciate snowmobilers riding on their land and close to their fence line.  When traveling East along Pennystreet Rd stay to the left of the telephone poles between the edge of the road and the poles... When traveling West stay to the right of the poles between the edge of the road and the poles.  Be advised that our club has been notified that local law enforcement agencies will be patrolling the area and issuing tickets to any individuals trespassing on residents property.  Please be respectful and stay off their property. Be sure to stay on the designated area on the shoulder as described above. Please inform your fellow riders of this situation.

Advertising on the Trail - Anyone wishing to advertise their business on our trail system must secure permission from the landowner prior to doing so. This is not the responsibility of the club. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
