 | WE NEED TO UPDATE OUR GROOMER FLEET!
This issue was discussed at length during our November and December club
meetings. During the clubs first groomer trip to West Leyden, electrical
problems developed in PB #5. Not a good way to start the season. Both
groomers are almost 20 years old and have an incredible number of hours on
them. Now is the time for the club membership to make this happen! We will
need everyone's help. More to come on this topic very soon.

 | Monthly
Meeting
The next club meeting is Tuesday, January 13th at 7:30 p.m. at the Lee Town Hall. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

 | Major Trail Change
There is a major rerouting on C4A north (State Route 26
crossing) at the West Branch Coffee Ranch.
The landowner has turned most of his property into a willow tree farm
which will be harvested for biofuel when mature.
These are very small seedlings right now so we must stay on the new
trail. This reroute changes the
junction for C4I to Point Rock and C7 north to West Leyden.
Please pass the word on this change to your snowmobiling friends.
The landowner is very sensitive about this project, as he should be,
so let’s all be extra cautious to not stray off this new trail or any
trail for that matter! We
cannot afford any shut downs!!!! While
up there, stop in and have a hot cup of coffee from Guatemala, or a hot
chocolate, soda, or some of the other food and dessert offered there.

 | Club Trail Party
The club trail party is scheduled for Sunday, January 18th at the groomer
barn. More details will be posted as they become available.
|
 | Safety Course Completed
Club member John Beggs reported that a very successful Safety Course was
held at the groomer barn on December 5th and 6th. The kids had a great time
learning how to conduct themselves safely around and on a snowmobile. John
was impressed by the great interest the attendees took in our sport, which
was reflected in the test scores that ranged from 90% to 100%. Congratulations
to all and a big thanks to John for taking the time to teach the
course.

 | Bridges Rebuilt
Club members completed work on four bridges over two beautiful weekends in
October. The club rebuilt two bridges, including the "Pepper
Bridge" located off the Stokes Westernville Road in the Town of Lee,
and the "Camroden Bridge" located off the Camroden Road in
the Town of Western. The club also moved the bridge on the towpath near the
NYS Fish Hatchery back into place, and moved a bridge formerly used on the
west side of Route 46 to a new location along the east side of Route 46,
eliminating the need to ride on the shoulder of the highway. A big thanks
goes out to everyone who helped out and to Millie Piersall for the photos!
Additional photos of all four bridge projects can be found by clicking on

 | The Lee Center Trailbusters would like to thank all of
our landowners for their generous cooperation in allowing us to have trails
travel across their property. Without their cooperation, it would not be
possible to have these trails.
