Trailbusters Snowmobile Club,
Inc. President: Mark Destito, 336-1727 | Vice President: Dave Flanagan, 339-9610 Secretary: Millie Piersall, 336-5089 | Treasurer: Dave Peer, 336-0593 September 2005 Newsletter Dear Members: Here we are in September already and time to welcome you all back and start planning for another snowmobile season. It was a terrific summer and we hope a terrific winter will follow. Snowmobile Registrations/SRRA Passed: As most of you have heard, NY state snowmobile registration annual fee for the 2005-2006 season remains at $45.00 per sled. The state passed and the governor has signed into law the SRRA two tier registration. This means for the 2006-2007 season, the registration fee will remain at $45.00 per sled for snowmobile club members and those not belonging to a club will be paying $100.00. Hopefully, this will encourage club membership and, more importantly, a larger pool of volunteers to maintain the trails. Club Memberships Due: Your club membership expires 30 Sep 05. Fee remains at $25.00 which includes the NYSSA membership. Please send in your renewals early while you have this reminder as I would like to get this task over with rather than dragged out over months. You can print out the membership form from this website using the links at the bottom of this page. Fundraiser Suggestions: The club will not be raffling a sled or anything else this year. If you have any suggestions for a fundraiser, we would like to hear from you. E-mail Addresses: Please provide any email changes that have occurred since you last provided them for receiving our newsletters. Also, those who didn't have email but now do, please email these to Millie at indytraks@twcny.rr.com Big East Show in Syracuse: This annual show will be held at the OnCenter on September 30th, and the 1st and 2d of October, 2005 Trail Work/Volunteers Needed: A couple of bridges have already been re-decked. We are painting our trail stakes so they are more visible and approximately half of them have been painted. However, lots of work lies ahead in addition to the trail marking later on. If you can donate any time, please contact Mark Destito at 336-1727 and let him know when you are available. We really need to get more new hands to help with trail work.
